This Thursday August 1st the ladies compete in an 18 hole stableford for charity fee €10.00 with prizes sponsored by Helen Connolly, Kathleen Leonard and the club. Ladies if you are unable to play please make a wee donation anyway.
The Captain’s Day Prize takes place on Saturday 24th August. A sheet is posted in the locker room and you are asked to please enter your name to indicate your time preference. A draw will subsequently take for playing partners on the day, the Competition Secretary requests your co-operation please.
Mr Gerard Kelly’s Captain’s Prize to the Ladies takes place on Sunday 4th of August 2pm or Thursday 8th August. This is a stroke GOY DRAW Medal.
Last week’s single stroke GOY with prizes sponsored by Geraldine Igoe, Eileen Kerr and Mary Trant produced a fantastic score from Irene McConkey (27) to win Section B with 64 nett! Irene lost 3 shots! Section A was won by Lady Captain Roisin Kerr (14) with nett 73 who was also cut 0.6 and now plays of 13 equalling the lowest handicap in the Ladies Club ! Well done LC!! Section C was won by Noirin McKenna (36) with 76
nett. Hard luck to all the ladies who were forced to leave the course due to thunder and lightning as valuable GOY points were at stake.

The handicap Secretary was busy cutting a few handicaps just two days before Lady Captains Day with the course giving up huge scores. Congratulations to Teresa Hannawin (32) who carded 44 stableford points to win Section C and was cut 5 shots! Joy Cassidy (19) won Section A with 40 points and was cut 2 shots and Geraldine Fitzpatrick (24) claimed Section B also with 40 points. She also received a hefty 2 shot cut to her handicap. Well done ladies fine scores! But really 2 days before LC Day???
Lady Captain Roisin Kerr hosted the visiting Lady Captains to play 18 hole stableford and dine in style afterwards. A hugely successful day with hot dry conditions and a good run on the ball. The ladies were drawn for playing partners with the Clones Ladies Committee and headed out
whilst Roisin stayed to prepare a sumptuous spread of delicious food for their return. There were prizes for the best 3 cards and congratulations go to Yvonne Duffy Concra Wood, Ethna McAvinney Concra Wood and Bertha Finlay Aughnacloy. Huge thanks to Lady Captain Roisin, Vice Captain Brid and everyone else who contributed for the wonderful banquet.
