Lady Captain and Irene Going Low

Last week’s single stroke GOY with prizes sponsored by Geraldine Igoe, Eileen Kerr and Mary Trant produced a fantastic score from Irene McConkey (27) to win Section B with 64 nett! Irene lost 3 shots! Section A was won by Lady Captain Roisin Kerr (14) with nett 73 who was also cut 0.6 and now plays of 13 equalling the lowest handicap in the Ladies Club ! Well done LC!! Section C was won by Noirin McKenna (36) with 76
nett. Hard luck to all the ladies who were forced to leave the course due to thunder and lightning as valuable GOY points were at stake.

Well done ladies fine scores! But really 2 days before LC Day???

Visiting Lady Captains

Lady Captain Roisin Kerr hosted the visiting Lady Captains to play 18 hole stableford and dine in style afterwards. A hugely successful day with hot dry conditions and a good run on the ball. The ladies were drawn for playing partners with the Clones Ladies Committee and headed out
whilst Roisin stayed to prepare a sumptuous spread of delicious food for their return. There were prizes for the best 3 cards and congratulations go to Yvonne Duffy Concra Wood, Ethna McAvinney Concra Wood and Bertha Finlay Aughnacloy. Huge thanks to Lady Captain Roisin, Vice Captain Brid and everyone else who contributed for the wonderful banquet.
