Ladies, the professional from Farnham Estate, Gavin Byrne has kindly agreed to have a look at the long game on Wednesday 29th April. Handicaps 27-36 please be there before 6.30pm and the 0-26 handicaps will be looked after at 7.30pm. Please bring a fiver. List in locker room.
It has been pointed out that the course will be unavailable to the “Sunday” ladies on Sunday 17th of May as Clones are hosting the all-Ireland mixed qualifier. As this date is a Golfer of the Year stroke Medal DRAW, a 2pm -2.30pm slot will be reserved for Saturday 16th of May to accommodate the “Sunday” ladies.
Congratulations to Teresa Hanawin who claimed week 1 of the 9 holer with 19 points. Kathleen Leonard won the seniors prize also with 19 points. Remember ladies you can play this alongside any 18 hole competition or just do the 9 holes if you wish. €1 in the bottom drawer.
Sunday 3rd May and Thursday 7th May is a stableford competition for the ladies with prizes sponsored by Celesta McKiernan, Catherine Farrell and the Club. Ladies you may play along the open weekend on Sunday make sure the cards are clearly marked.
Thursday 30th of April the ladies play in a stroke Medal with prizes sponsored by Kathleen McCabe Gibbons, Una O’Reilly and the club.
Lady Captain Rosita McCabe claimed the first 10 points for this year’s Golfer of the Year with a fine nett 72 claiming Section A. Geraldine Fitzpatrick won Section B with 73 nett and Kathleen “my putter’s hot” Leonard won Section C with 76 nett.
The Ulster all Ireland mixed will be hosted in Clones on Sunday 17th of May so why not come along and play the course over the Bank Holiday weekend for just €15.00!
At this point we are down to the concluding stages of the Harte Peat Spring League having completed the Semi Final. The Final comprises of the top 4 Teams competing, playing once with all 5 scores to count. The Final had to be played out by Sunday 26th.
The letters drawn on 20th April were CGKZ and there were no winners of the 4,200 jackpot which rolls over to 4,300. The 5 lucky dippers each winning 20 were Una McCarra Clones, Benny Murphy Tanagh, Kathleen Leonard Clones, Gretta McCusker Maguiresbridge and Jonathon McDonagh Smithboro. Well done to them!
