OPEN Week 2016

Open Week commences on Monday next 6th and concludes on Sunday 12th. Entry, Members  € 5,  Visitors € 15. Presentation of all Prizes will take place in the Clubhouse on Monday 13th at 9.30pm sharp. The following are the Competitions for Open Week:

 

Monday 6th,  Men Single Stableford, Sponsor, Kelly/Rahill, Accountants, Cavan

Tuesday 7th, Men Scotch Foursomes, Sponsor, Barry/ Hickey/Henderson, Solrs. Clones

Wednesday8th. Men Fourball Betterball. Sponsor, Philip Brady Meswear, Cavan

Thursday 9th.   Ladies and Gents  Singles S.Ford, Sponsor, Leo Rooney, Clones

Friday/ Saturday 10th/11th. 3 Person Team,  Sponsor, McDaids Pharmacy, Clones

Sunday 12th.   4 Person Team. Sponsor, Conagra, Carrickmacross.

Mixed Matchplay

The draw for the mixed matchplay takes place 10th June so gents, don’t be shy ask a gal and get your names on the list (on the door just inside the bar). Ladies grab your man before the best ones are taken! This event is great fun, the men tee off the first (whites) and the ladies take the 2nd shot and so on, the ladies then tee off at the 2nd. You use half of your combined handicaps and its matchplay!

The letters drawn 23rd May were VIAG and no one picked these as their letters so the jackpot rolls over to 2,900. The 5 lucky dippers each winning 20 were Roxanne O’Harte Leonard’s Island, Loreto Traynor Ballybay, Mary Connolly Clones, Helen Connolly Millbrook and Sinead McCarthy Ballybay.

Annual Golf Club Classic

Our Annual Club Classic takes on Friday 3rd June and concludes on Sunday 5th June. If you wish to Sponsor a Team €200.00 (including meal afterwards), Green €50.00, or Tee Box €100.00 you may contact Mary in the Clubhouse at (047) 56017 or any Committee Member. Buy a raffle ticket if you can. Clones Golf Club is used by many charities and sports clubs to host classics for their own fund raising so if we can continue to make the course more beautiful and keep improving it, everyone benefits.
