The Kelly/ Rahill Open Week Competition (men) has commenced on Monday last and concludes this Sunday 20th, it is an 18 Hole Singles Repeater, and a time sheet will be in operation at the weekend. The Presentation of Prizes for the following Competitions takes place in the Clubhouse this Friday Night 18th at 8pm sharp, The Kilmore Hotel April Monthly Medal, Deerpark Voucher, Heineken Open Week Competition, The Harte Peat Spring League Competition both Weekly and Overall Winners. All Winners are requested to be present or to send a representative on the night. Ladies arrange a partner and opposites for the Granard Cup on Sunday 20th May and/or Thursday 24th May.
The popular scrambles start Monday evening 21st May at 6pm this is a fun format for ladies and gents to get to know each other! Just turn up and teams of 3 will be drawn and off you go. Prizes on the night! A small fee of €3!
The ladies club ran their usual successful May Weekend stableford repeater for members of Clones Club with beautiful prizes displayed from Friday 4th May until Bank Holiday Monday 7th May and wish to convey their thanks for everyone who played and indeed repeated! The weather was perfect and the course was in fine shape. We had some fantastic scores form the gents! All 44 points 1st was Kevin McDonnell (22 back 9), 2nd was Captain Pat McCabe (21 back 9) and 3rd place went to Tommy O’Harte (20 back 9). Well done gentlemen!! The ladies scores were a little more modest but nevertheless consistent as they were all 33 points! 1st went to Noeleen McCague (18 back 9), 2nd place went to Lady Vice Captain Collette McCahery (17 back 9) and third place went to Mary Trant (16 back 9). Ladies well done!
The Eugene McDonald Trophy is down for decision this weekend, Sat./Sun. 12th/13th. This is a Golfer of the Year Competition with a time sheet in operation.

Ladies Beginners Golf
Clones Golf Club (Ladies Club) are running beginners classes for ladies for 6 weeks from Tuesday 8th May from 7pm to 8pm and each Tuesday thereafter. Wear suitable trousers/shorts (no jeans please) and trainers. Clubs, balls etc will be provided. Fee €3 per week to cover prizes. Come to the clubhouse on the Scotshouse Road just outside Clones. Our lady members will spend time with new ladies showing them the basics on the course. So ladies come and see if you like it! If there is enough interest we will also be arranging additional coaching from a Golf Professional for a small fee. It’s the most fun you can have with your clothes on!!
