Ladies Club AGM

Once again a very smoothly run AGM with last year’s events précised
by Secretary Eileen Kerr. Very detailed reports were heard from Secretary Eileen and Treasurer Doli Maguire. The outgoing Lady Captain Roisin Kerr thanked her committee and her right hand woman Anne McCarthy for reining her in if a boo boo was about to ensue! Roisin confirmed that she had reservations at first about filling the role but had enjoyed her tenure and everyone agreed that she has been a fabulous ambassador for the club in our Centenary year. She also managed
to drop from a handicap of 18 to 12! She invited the new Lady Captain Brid Finlay to accept the badge of office and in turn Brid introduced her vice-captain who is someone that will work hard and play hard, a very popular choice in Rosita McCabe. The committee was duly elected Secretary Eileen Kerr, Treasurer Teresa Hannawin, Handicap Secretary Mary Trant, Competition Secretary Mary O’Toole (with assistance from Noeleen McCague ), PRO Mary Trant and the committee members elected were Bridie Keenan, Doli Maguire, Martha O’Grady, Noeleen McCague, Veronica McGorman and Anne McCarthy. Lady Captain Brid thanked Vera Tighe for all her hard work as Competition Secretary for the previous 4 years and Doli Maguire for her 3 years as Treasurer. The meeting was efficiently brought to a close and Lady Captain said she looked forward to her year ahead and working with her new committee. Lady Captain Brid Finlay and the ladies club would like to wish the new Captain Paul Jenkins and very successful year ahead.
