Ladies Golf Fixtures

Ladies Play Stableford

This Thursday 3rd August the ladies compete in an 18 hole stableford competition. For the first time ever, no one played in the competition last week die to the heavy rains. Hopefully the weather will be kinder this week!

Stroke GOY

The Golfer of the Year competition is reaching its climax so let’s get some good scores in on Sunday 6th August (2.30pm slot reserved only as Classic is on) and Thursday 10th August.

Captain’s Prize to the Ladies

Captain Joe Smith’s prize to the ladies takes place on Sunday 20th of August and Thursday 24th August so keep the dates free ladies to honour Captain Joe.

Ladies GOY Result

A huge congratulations to Roberta Hamilton winner of section A with a fabulous nett 66 a further reduction to her handicap now off 20!! Section B was won by, once again Helen Connolly nett 73. Helen has at last found her game and is enjoying her winning streak!

Maureen Lynch

The two winners of the Maureen Lynch 9 holer will come as no surprise, Roberta Hamilton 24 points and Helen Connolly 20 points!

GOY Thursday

The ladies play in another GOY stroke Medal DRAW on Thursday 15th June. Please ensure that cards are swapped and marked by playing partners and your scores note down the side to assist the competition and handicap secretaries.

Change of Date

There will be a members meeting on Wednesday 21st at 7.30pm so the ladies presentation of prize will be rescheduled. Updates on WhatsApp.



GOY Result

Another wonderful scoring week in the Golfer of the Year with Lady Captain Teresa Hanawin hitting her stride and carding a fantastic 66 nett!! 10 Golfer of the Year points to you LC!! Teresa also claimed Section B and was cut two shots for her prowess. Section A went to another lady in form Brid Finlay with nett 71 and Helen Connolly claimed Section C with nett 70. Brid and Helen have found the winning formula lately and congratulations to them both!

The first ladies Golfer of the Year produced some blistering scores and resulted in handicap cuts! Well done to Brid Finlay winner of Section A nett 67 (have to mention Roisin Kerr 11 who carded nett 68!) Winner of Section B-Irene Rooney 71 nett and winner of section C-Helen Connolly 73 nett.
