The presentation of the Winter League prizes will be made on Thursday 12th December in the clubhouse at 8pm. There is a prize for everyone who played (at least 3 times) and nibbles will be supplied. The clubhouse will be looking festive so all ladies come along (even if you are not getting a prize) and enjoy the fun! There will be party games! The Par Pyramid, The Silver Medal and Bronze Medal, Silver Spoon and the Birdie Tree will be presented along with the weekly prizes for the latter months of the season.
The ladies Club party night was a great success which included the presentation of the Winter League Christmas hampers. The Bronze Medal was won by Bridie Keenan, Silver Medal won by Elaine Hamilton and the ILGU Silver Spoon went to Mary Trant. But the fun didn’t start until about 10pm when our Captain Georgie sang his own version of the Beatles “let it be”. Some games followed, reports are still coming in of sore jaws from all the laughing, so we’re considering it a successful night. Congrats to our new Lady Captain Collette McCahery on her first official duty, and thanks to Geraldine for the food, and to Brid for purchasing and putting together the beautiful prizes for the league. And not forgetting our most obliging barman Michael Connolly… sorry for keeping you out late Happy Christmas to all from the ladies club!
