We are now into week 3 of the Spring and it is still very close with Team 2 (Eileen Kerr) just easing into 1st place on 101, Team 1 (Doli Maguire) are 2nd with 99, Team 3 (Geraldine Fitzpatrick) are 3rd with 98 and Team 4 (Catherine Farrell) are 4th with 93. Well done everyone!
Eclectic 14 Holes
The Eclectic started Sunday 18th February. One euro and put your best scores up on the notice board. This is to encourage the playing of 14 holes to get us built up to the 18 which starts in March.
The Ladies Spring League started on Sunday last the teams have been drawn. Team Captains please keep your teams informed especially those not on WhatsApp. We are also running a 9 hole competition to honour the new Lady Captain fee €3 from Sunday last until Saturday 17th of February which is Drive In day. Prizes for 1st, 2nd and 3rd.
The annual handicap review is now complete and the new handicaps for 2018 are listed in the locker room. The Spring League will commence in February (weather permitting!) although a few committed ladies have been out already. Once again thank you to our wonderful green keepers Finbar and Hugh John. Just a wee reminder please replace divots and mend pitch marks on the greens. Thank you!

Dates for the Calendar
Lady Captain’s weekend away will be 20th to 22nd of April 2018 and Lady Captain’s Day will be on Saturday 28th July 2018.
Huge congratulations to Team 5 captained by Brid Finlay for their massive win by a clear 18 points. The team of Brid, Teresa Fitzpatrick, Joy Cassidy, Roberta Hamilton and Doli Maguire did themselves proud! With some fabulous scores particularly from Brid Finlay, Roberta Hamilton and Doli Maguire. In 2nd place were Team 4 with 327 captained by the Lady Captain Teresa Hanawin along with Celesta McKiernan, Elaine Hamilton, Bridie Keenan and Ann Wrafter. Again notable scores from Elaine and Lady Captain Teresa. 3rd were Team 1 with 324 Mary O’Toole team captain, Rosita McCabe, Noeleen McCague, Noirin McKenna, Kathleen McCabe Gibbons and Marion Foy. The star player in this team was Noeleen. Team 3 were 4th and Team 2 were 5th. Lady Captain Teresa would like to thank everyone who played and hopes it will benefit your summer golf keeping everyone swinging in the “down season”. Presentation night to be arranged shortly.
The ladies Spring League and the Harte Peat Men’s League continue. Please repair pitch marks on the greens! Results for the Ladies league week 3 are in the locker room and its hotting up already!
The results for the first 2 weeks are now up in the locker room and there have been some excellent scores particularly from Brid Finlay, Loreto Traynor and Elaine Hamilton. Please make sure you note the week number, team number and handicap on your card. We had a couple of disqualifications for oversights. Care ladies!

The Ladies Spring League starts on Sunday 5th of February until 18th March and will be in teams (best 3 cards each week to count each week) stableford format over the “old 9 holes”. There may be a few tweaks as to which holes of our 20 holes are open due to maintenance work. The draw for teams has been done and Team Captains please notify your teams. The ladies Spring League has concluded and well done to Team 2 Brid Finlay, Teresa Fitzpatrick, Helen Connolly, Teresa Hanawin, Sinead O’Flynn and Lisa O’Brien who finished with 277 points.
