Thursday 5th September and Sunday 8th September the ladies have an 18 hole stableford
The 02 Trophy stableford competition for ladies took place on Thursday/Sunday and some fabulous scores were returned. The winner of Section A with 40 points and a 2 shot cut to her handicap was Mary Trant. Section B went to E. Maguire with 38 points and a 1 shot cut and Section C was won by Lady Captain Collette McCahery 35 points and a shot cut. Congratulations ladies!
The results for the first two weeks of the Maureen Lynch 9 Holer are: week 1 winner Roisin Kerr 20, Senior Noirin McKenna 15. Week 2 winner Lady Captain Collette McCahery 20 and Senior Kathleen Leonard 14 c/b.
This week’s competition is a stableford charity €5 to play. Please support this even if you are unable to play, all donations are welcome. Don’t forget the Maureen Lynch 9 holer.
The winner of the stroke GOY and taking 10 points was Roisin Kerr (9) with nett 71, Section B went to Vera Tighe (19) nett 72 c/b and Section C went to Lady Captain Collette McCahery (28) nett 73. Great scores ladies! Roisin and Collette both lost a shot! Superb!!
Congratulations to the Clones Ladies who fought hard in the simultaneous home and away matchplay against The Slieve Russell on Sunday. Clones were victorious and will meet Cavan in the next round.
Entry sheets for the various Match Play Competitions are now posted in the locker room, members are asked to please enter their names as soon as possible, an open draw will take place on Monday 10th June. The mixed mathcplay sheet is up so please secure your lady as soon as possible to avoid disappointment only a limited supply available!
Both the ladies and men’s Spring Leagues start this weekend. The ladies start on Sunday 3rd of February and the men’s’ league sponsored by Harte Peat starts on Monday 4th of February. Weather permitting!!
