The first ladies Golfer of the Year takes place on Thursday 18th of May this is a stroke Medal DRAW.
Wow! 24 players in last week’s GOY fabulous! So we had 3 section winners A-(0-20) Brid Finlay 75 c/b, B (21-28) Roberta Hamilton 78 c/b and Section C (29-36) to Fionnuala McKenna 75. Well done ladies ! There are only 3 Golfer of the Year competitions left and there is still no clear winner just yet. The next GOY stroke Medal DRAW is on Thursday 11th August with prizes sponsored by Beatrice Crudden and Loretto Traynor.
Well done to Roisin Kerr who is proving herself to be a very consistent player and still managed to win Section A playing off an ever diminishing handicap, now 11 on Thursday 13th of August. She started with four 4’s and brought in a very nice nett 74. Veronica McGorman won Section B with 75 and Roberta Hamilton (who played in howling winds the previous Sunday) won section C with a nett 81. A pleasant surprise! All these ladies featured on Lady Captain’s Day and continue to play well.
