Credit Union OPEN Ladies & Gents Singles
We are again throwing open our doors (or rather our course) to visitors to experience the wonderful test of golf that is Clones for the Clones Credit Union Sponsored OPEN weekend from Friday 29th June to Sunday 1st July. This single stableford competition is for both ladies and gents with 1st and 2nd prizes for each gender. Fee for entry €15 for visitors, €8 for members and €5 to repeat for members. This is a repeater so you can play all 3 days if you desire and it won’t compromise your handicap before Captain’s Day!! Timesheet in operation Tel: 047 56017. Open Week Results
As promised in last week’s missive we now have the full results of a very successful Open Week which ran from Monday 11th June to Sunday 17th June. 4 ball better ball sponsored by Erne Crystal 1st Conor Smith and Charlie Browne 47 points. 2nd Gerard O’Callaghan and Waylon McEniff 45 points. 3 person team sponsored by Feldhues, Clones 1st Captain Sean Bonner, Frankie Dolan and Georgie Pugh 88 points. 2nd Joe Smith, George Crowe and Seamus Brady 88 points. Clones Qualify for Ulster Final
Congratulations to team MVT who qualified for the Ulster Regional Final of the ladies Irish Open to be played on June 6th at The Slieve Russell. We wish Mary Trant (team captain)Lady Captain Veronica McGorman and Teresa Hanawin the best of luck in their quest to win a place to play in the pro-am at Killeen Castle.

Clones Golf Club are delighted to announce that starting from Wednesday 2nd May for 13 weeks there will be an OPEN 18 hole single stableford competition generously sponsored by The Creighton Hotel, Clones for ladies and gents. This competition aims to reward the keen, consistent and loyal golfer! Weekly charge €5 for members or €18 for monthly pass, visitors €15 of €50 for monthly pass. There will be a weekly winners prize for the best stableford score 1st, 2nd and seniors. The overall winner will be the golfer with the best overall total from 7 cards. The Creighton Hotel as a proud sponsor of Clones Golf Club will ensure that local members and visitors are catered for throughout the Summer League and are providing the following Wednesday Specials to all local and visiting golfers at The Creighton Hotel: 9am to 12 noon Full Irish Breakfast (with tea, bread & butter) €8, 12 noon to 4pm Two course lunch with tea or coffee €12 and 4pm to 9pm Golfer’s Grill (with tea, bread and butter) €13.
